I signed up to support but I am disappointed that Texas does not appear in the support page, only Alaska and Alabama. |

That portion of the website is still under development. It's meant as a guide to locate your state reps (I believe... correct me if I'm wrong Rick). It will be more useful once we have federal legalization accomplished and we move on to the individual states. If you already signed up as a supporter and want to help more, please consider emailing JB's paper to your federal senators and congressmen. The contacts for government officials can be found at: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml JB's paper is posted on the legalization thread on this forum (first post) and also on www.hobbydistillersassociation.org under the Legalization/downloads tab. Thank you for supporting, Mongoose! |

Exactly- we are still trying to get the information for each state compiled to post online. |

For those of you who have not checked our new thread on legalization, there was a story in the Dallas Morning News today, and also on NBC5 News. The movement is really starting to roll! http://www.dallasnews.co...galizing-their-hobby.ece http://www.nbcdfw.com/ne...ort-Worth-255191701.html |

The HDA has just passed 1000 members. Please help us to increase that- we need to show Congress that there is strong support for legalization of home distilling! If you have not signed up, please do so. If you have, please urge your family and friends to do so to show that they support the freedom to distill, just as we all have the freedom to brew beer and make wine. |

Check out the Denver Post (www.denverpost.com (http://www.denverpost.com))- they have an article about the legalization movement and a poll on their homepage asking people whether or not the government should end the ban on home distilling. Please take a second to go to their website to cast your vote! |

It has been a while since our last update, but that does not mean that we have not been continuing to work hard on legalization. We just confirmed a meeting with the Deputy Secretary of Tax Policy at the Department of the Treasury on February 12th. With are hoping to get a follow up meeting with Senator Cornyn after our meeting with Treasury. We are still moving in the right direction. For those who have not joined the HDA and have not contacted their elected officials, please do. We need all the support that we can get! |
