Anyone using a PSII in pot still configuration with a Thumper? Interested in making rum, thus the need for a pot still, but an elderly family member that used to distill moonshine insists that a pot still needs a thumper or you need to run 2 runs.

It is a good idea but can't see how you can put a thumper in between the condenser and column on a PSII. Good to see you back Scotty. Have you been on vacation or something ?

Could you connect the thumper to the existing condenser but don't cool it. then add a new condenser after the thumper?

I have one of ricks 2 inch pots stills for years. I would cut the 1/2 inch line and insert the item in series.

PLEASE NOTE THE DATE THAT THIS THREAD WAS STARTED. I FOUND IT WHILE BROWSING THE WEB FOR THUMPER INFO.

I revived this thread just to tease rick.
