"I love to use essences. Quick and easy and to the point, but I am wondering... for different candy flavors, such as butterscotch. Could I just use some butterscotch or carmel candy? Anotherwords, just drop some candy in my distilled spirits and let it sit? If this will work.. would it work with other candies? I would appreciate any info on this, as I think it could be alot of fun to do if it works.

Thanks

Peredy"

Has anyone found anything on this butterscotch thing. Just going through post and this one seems like it would taste good.

Hey Peredy, I've used candy before in my shine. Your best bet is hard candy , I used candy canes and I just threw em in. Within two weeks or less the alcohol will dissolve the candy and if you want a good kick stir in a little honey with that candy.
