Rank: Junior Member Reputation: Groups: Registered Joined: 5/13/2007(UTC) Posts: 86		Took my bud to the brew shop and helped him set up on this one He took my ideas and picked wine makers wine concentrate, and some red star cuvee yeast. In addition he added 2 tablespoons energiser. I took a SG of 1.120 which he was real interested in. I think it was a bit high because he wouldn't let me fill to 25L because he only fills to the mark which looks like 23L. (now he knows what 'that glass thing' is for)He says its bubbling away. We shall see soon.

My bud told me it ran for two weeks and then he found the 1118 I left on the shelf in his garage, and used that. an additional two weeks and the end wine was not only unpalatable but the wine grape concentrate carried a heavy taste and aroma over. About the same time as he added the 1118 he started a new one with two welches concord grape concentrate go ferm and fermaid K both added and used fast rise bakers yeast along with the original recipie. 3 week finish. It was exactly perfect in every way. stopped by and confirmed after carbon that it was between kettle one and belvedere. If using the MikroBios recipie do those changes. I asked about the SGs........he forgot to take them.:-( Sent Howie a new care package with stuff from several different companies to play with and help kill the boredom. He is doing fine. A little island fever but other than that fine."
