"I have been using Gert's 48 Turbo with good results - using 17# sugar in 25 liters water. At 78 degrees F ambient temp, it is complete in 7 days with 17%17%-18% alcohol content. I would like to try doubling the batch: 2 pkgs of Turbo 48, 34# sugar in 50 liters of water.
Is this recommended? What kind of results compared to above?
Anyone who has tried, I would like to hear from you.
Thanks for the help.

Nope. You need to make two batches. Click on the brewhaus link at the bottom of the page and read all of the yeasts. I think there are a couple that will do exactly what you want to try, but you have to click all three tabs on each one and read up on the specs to be certain. 48 is single batch.

"I have used turbo 48 for 10 gallons{1 pack} and it took longer to finish, but it was cleaner when it did.It will take an extra week, but is worth the wait.I have been getting cleaner ferments, and better neutral, and rum using a half a pack in 5 gallons.
