Hi there. I'm new to all of this, but have narrowed down what I'd like to get to a 4" 6 bubble plate Sight Glass or a 4" 6 plate Flute w/windows. I am trying to gather information and opinions about the benefits or shortcomings of both. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hey!
Did you pull the trigger on a purchase? How did it go?
I'm 8 months behind you, but decided against the bubbler plates (and the flute config) because a description of the whole affair is that it was like having a thumper for each bubbler plate resulting in better flavor, but lower proofs. That was what I took away from it.
My need is jet fuel, so I', going with sugar washes and a two section straight column. But...
I think I will put in a sight glass just to see what I can see. i hope I don't put my eye out!
