I have done several different kinds of infusions. Most of them pretty good. I like to experiment. The other day the wife brought home some rhubarb. So I took some, cut it up, added to vodka and sugar. Let set for 2 weeks and tasted, This stuff is bad.Sad Tastes to tart and sweet at the same time. Now I know, should have used it for pies. Rhubarb pies are good....Pugi

I made liqueur from prickly pear, and after several months it had lost it's alcohol flavour i.e. somehow the alcohol had converted into sugar. Is anyone familiar with this?
