I got tired of repeatedly checking and watching my glass thermometer for distilling. I was specifically anxious to know when it's about to start, and for when the temp is starting to spike at the end. Also, my brewing buddies wanted a timer/stopwatch feature after which a specific temperature is reached.

So, I wanted to share what I came up with. This program shows the current temperature from a probe. I made it such it specifically uses a probe called Go!Temp by Venier. After much research, it was the best probe choice for the money and dependability. The probe's interface is USB, so you hook it up to a laptop. You can setup your email or phone number for SMS notifications. Then enter an 'alert' temperature such when it gets that hot, you get an email and/or SMS! It also can start a stopwatch when the alert is hit.

Feel free to use it, make suggestions, and if you code, I posted it on github below.
