I am thinking of getting a new distiller, the one i have now is a copper one from clawhammer supply it has done ok but I think I would be able to do better with a better one. I am looking to do both reflux and pot distill just not sure what to go with. any ideas. also with this being all ss would I have to use copper any where on it.

I'm not an expert by any means, but the PSII from Brewhaus has work well for me. I use it as a pot still with reflux action. Copper backing will be included if you order the complete system. Can't say enough good things about it. Excellent system.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how long it takes to get a psII from the time its paid to its delivered? I the one that I am using now just broke and need ose ASAP because I have mash thats about ready to run.

What the heck "broke"? That column is as tough as a mortar tube on a Bradley...?!?

Depending on what has snafu'ed it could be longer or shorter...Rick can prolly ansa better once we see what's boken..

As to the mashes, u know you can seperate the wash from the lee's and store it fer awhile, too..

the unit I have now is not a PSII I have a copper unit and droped it and bent the heck out of it and the only way to really fix it would be to order more copper and redo it So I was thinking of getting the PSII instead since it seems like it is better anyway. How long can I store the wash before it goes bad?

Oh, I see now... Sorry, I presumed you meant a PSII... Sumgun's rugged I tell ya...

What type of wash? - I've seen posts here and over at artisandistiller.net that says weeks to months as long as it is stored away from the lee's and a proper container like a carboy or a food grade bucket.

I have 3 5gal two of them are UJSSM and one is corn. That why I was wondering how long it took when an order for the PSII was placed for it to be delivered. I have Bday comming up and wanted to have it run for that, but doesnt look like that is going to happen

If stored in a sealed fermenter you can generally let the wash sit for up to 4 weeks, although with corn I would try to keep that down to a couple of weeks unless you rack into another (sanitized) container to get the wash off of the lees. As for turnaround on a PSII, we are currently shipping within a day.

Last year I ordered my still on Feb 28th. I received it on May 5th. I ordered the PCII and love it. 2 months wait but a life time of booze.

OK so if I ordered Friday (01/03/2014) it would be shipped out next week? I was looking at the Essential Extractor PSII High Capacity so that way I can do a reflux and pot still.

I would strongly suggest getting the NPT couplings.1 for 8 gal, 2 for 15 gal. i wish I had a third to use one for a drain. If you don't want to use electric you can also get plugs and heat any other way. Rack wash off the lees, keep sanitary and keep as cold as possible. it will last.
