I was going to say the first drink out of my PSII, but the cost per shot has gone waaayy down since then. haha. So I will go with the Louis XIII at Foxwoods Casino in Conn. a couple years ago. $154.00. I don't know a lot about port but I recently opened a bottle of Offley 10yr port which I have had cellared for 35 years. Why? Maybe because I don't drink port. I may start now because, boy it was delicious. (sorry, off topic)

I agree about that crud. I don't see what's the hub bub about it... I have had the luck to try it twice, and each time I did not care for it.

Dom Perignon, I have had a few bottles in the past. I like it, but I'll drink anything. And I get it wholesale. As far as whiskey goes, Johnny W. blue is probably the most $$$ I have had. We just got the J. Walker Platinum in ($106.00/750 ml). it is pretty good but not fantastic.

I had some Crown Royal XR... I think it was like $140 a bottle, it didn't seem all that much different from the original, I think it was just left in the keg longer which gave a more oaky stronger woody flavor. But to much $$$$ for me, I went halves with a buddy.

Some Irish whishy (my pers fav), it was like Miller's or some crap, 175 a bottle, and came in a wood box....

It was good, but I'd not pay that when Bushmills Black Bush is a third of the price...But, that said, I must say this: I now understand why they charge sooo much for ultra refined hearts, the amount of work for that polished favorin in such a small increment at the end...Ie, it takes a long time to get enough for a production run... .

I've got a few bottles of Pappy Van Winkle coming shortly. I've never tried it but I'm pretty sure I'll be grabbing one.

Heya Heeler, Have you ever sampled Bushmills Black Bush as an alternative to Crown? The first time I drank it, I never bought another bottle of crown again...Of course, that was a few years ago, before.. :)
