"I ordered one of those little tabletop stills to augment my PSII. Gonna do small batches of all the ideas in my head to see if they're worth making. The PSII is great but requires a ass load of work and expense. I've made a couple of runs that weren't even suitable for the sewer. This little basic still will help me avoid the big stinkers and help me decide what's worth scaling up.

One of my bombs was an Aunt Jemima syrup wash that tasted gawd awful. Sad"

Hi Fritz, There are a few of us (me included) who started out with a table top Air Still, actually I have two of them, and upgraded. I have done exactly what you are thinking. It saves a lot of effort if you are experimenting on different washes that you are not sure of.
