Many thanks Tom!
This info explains a lot and gives me great ideas about how to proceed.
BTW, my reference to the "beautifully constructed" letter was a mediocre attempt at extreme sarcasm :)

Jeremiah,

RCRed is right, if you don't report producing any Fuel for 2 years they void/cancel/whatever your permit.

I apologize for not picking up on your sarcasm - it really is a very poorly constructed letter in many ways.

no visit here....and yes, I do think the dollar is headed for a crash unlike anything we have seen in our lifetimes. I do not think this has anything to do with it because when it crashes it simply becomes a piece of paper again. Goods, and products then become currency - like fuel EtOH, or medicinal EtOH, foods, etc... Look to see them confisgate any product folks make but leave the gear so more can be made they can take "for the greater good" (Horsesh*t!!) They'll also take food you are growing, have, etc... That was already in the communists exec orders from two years ago.

My Dad (89 years young) says times are very much like they were before the real depression back in the late 20's. But he says times are much worse now as the country is completely divided among partisan lines. The buffoon in the WH doesn't understand his credit card is about to be closed, when China and the rest of the world dump the dollar as the world's reserve currency, printing up more will no longer work. As of today, a new law went into effect that prevents Americans from moving money offshore into foreign currencies w/o telling the Feds exactly where and how it went (for future seizure). Take a guess who's been moving their vast fortunes out of the Dollar and into these currencies - Warren Buffet, the Nazi's child George Soros, to name just a few. They know what we are not supposed to.

When gas hits 18 a gallon, folks will realize they have been the frog placed in cold water and are now going to be hot soup.

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I, too, received my letter last week. I would like to register it as used for water since that is all it has been used for, but according to the law the capacity is over the limit (1gal). Any thoughts? I rent or I would have already applied for a AFP

I would have to double-check this, but I believe that the only different for a capacity of under 1 gallon used strictly for water is that it does not require recording by the reseller.

I wasn't as clear as I meant to be. I purchased a PSII 5gal capacity and live in Ohio. I was under the impression after research last year that I can't possess the still at all because of the capacity. I also need to check if I can get a statement of permission from my landlord to used a shed for distilling. If so, I will be applying for a AFP.

Thanks for the prompt response."
