So I was wondering if you could make a small still out of a thermos and some copper pipe. I have eveything else I was just wonering if you could put your mash in a Thermos and heat it over a fire. I am just wondering this incase I do it and it explodes !

I really DON'T think it's a good idea. A thermos usually has a sealed air space between the inner and outer walls and some times have an insulation in that space also.

not only do i think it would be unsafe. i don't think you would have enough volume to make a decent cocktail

I had thought about turning an all stainless thermos into a condenser for my 2" Boka. I still drink coffee from it after I figured it wasn't worth the effort.
