Hey all, I made this a while ago, just did a mock up of it to try, seemed to work well. I wanted something different than a normal one, never seemed to see many different ones till I joined this site, theres some awesome ideas getting around here!. I made it so the likka goes in the base like normal but it goes through into the inner tube, up that and over the top into the outer tube and flows down to the base through the reducer, hope that made sense!.

I thought the whole idea behind a parrot was for the hydrometer to monitor your ABV level throughtout the run. How does that happen with this one????

Ahaaaa, I see it now, I thought the cap was soldered on the top...hense my confusion. Once you figger out how and where it will stand or hang that should work.

Cheers mate, my idea was to tri clamp it straight onto the condenser, have to do some sorting of take off heights first.

"googe, if your condenser output tube is not straight up and down you can use a coupling and just stick it on...thats how I hang mine. My condenser is at a 45 angle and I soldered a 1/2"" reducer on the end of the inlet tube on the parrot, then I just stick it on the condenser output tip.

If thats not something you want to do, think about this.....a union coupling is only 9-10$ at HomeDepot or Lowes. You just solder half on the parrot and the other half on the condenser tip. If you look back in the forum you can see where I used a union to join my tower to the condenser but I did'nt find it necessary to use on the parrot since its so light."

Thanks heeler, ive got the shotgun condenser and its vertical. I had a look at your ideas, you've got some nice looking parrots!. The union is my other option, I have both laying around here so seems silly not to use either, I'm doing a run this weekend and will sus out take off heights and the such. Thanks for the feedback mate.
