"It was released today that the popular Makers Mark Bourbon is changing it's proof from 90 to 84 to meet the high demain of it's product.
I can't figure out why in the world they think this seems like a good idea, why change the product. Instead increase the price to match the demand.
Here's an interesting fact that I read this morning. There are 4.9 million barrels of aging bourbon in Kentucky, that's more barrels than the whole population of the state."

"Hey Johnny, my best friend drinks MM exclusively, and my brew, of course. He drinks it neat, no nothing, and we've both spent many an evening staring into a campfire sipping on a cpl fingers of the stuff. Bob wil be displeased, for it seems indignent to mess with near perfection. I was surprised to learn that Jim Beam owns the MM operation...that makes sense, they are 2 of my favorite bourbons.
