Hello everyone,

stumbled across this forum while researching the distilling process, i was considering giving makin shine a chance. seems like a entertaining hobby. I would really like to get my feet wet before diving in head first and am looking at/for recipies for a smaller batch. Im thinking for my first time the simpliest recipe may be best. Until I am ready though Ill probably stay a "lurker" with an occasional question.

Thanks!!!

P. S.
If anyone has any good recipies for a small batch feel free to share if you dont mind Wink

Maybe something I could mix up and let ferment in a 5 gallon bucket.

Also a quick question, could an airlock be fabricated from some clear tubing? From what I've seen if you would secure it in a form like the grease trap on a sink you would have the same end result? Right?

If all goes well I got my eye on the Essential Extractor Pro Series II. Looks like a great beginners rig for a good price.

Thanks guys!
