"I just joined the group but I have a few years experience with this hobby. I own a pot still with a 4 gal boiler but soon I'm getting the premium 8 gal kettle from Brewhaus and making a new 2"" copper pot still with a thumper. I'm currently looking at designs to use and finding one with a thumper is hard to find. My current rig has one and I really like the benefit it brings to distillation.

Any ideas? I'm thinking I'll reduce the 2"" after the 90 to maybe 3/4"" and a union so I can either run with or without the thumper. The thumper is where I'm stuck. I prefer glass so I can see what's going on but most don't. If I make one out of copper I'll have to make a lid for cleaning and a tri clamp is what I'm thinking.
