Hello everyone, my 1st run was with a sugar wash 10# sugar 8 oz tomato paste 2 oz of dap 5 tsp of bakers yeast. took 2 wks to ferment starting sg was 1.010
the end it was .090 i think those r the right figures notes not with me right now sorry. put it in my 15 gal hc psII & turned on the burnner it took 1 hr to get to 168 deg F and started dripping. Collected 250 ml put to the side started to collect in 8 oz jelly jars half full. smell was strong ,not like the foreshots but real strong. 1st proof was 84% kept collecting on the 3rd jar proof was 94% happy times temp still

94% to make 2 full qts. smell was still very strong.
hr 4 the temp started to rise slowly
around 174 deg the taste & smell changed to a sweeter & more like flowers drip slowed way down to about 4 drips a min i took that as a sign of the tails starting. collected 300 ml of that b4 she stoped proofed that
65%. so i geuss what i am asking is this sounding propper. the 1 thing i 4 got to do is add the sparkiod to let it clear could this be the cause of my smell. thx everyone 4 your help
