Since my simple red hot experiment was a success I decided to try another one. I cut my 94 percent neutral down to 80 proof( 2 quart jar) and added a WHOLE tin of Altoids peppermints, 2 oz. of glycerin, and two drops of green food coloring.( made a pretty christmas pair with the red cinnamon redhot variety and this one in a pretty green...lol) It is different as a freezer kept shooter for sure. Like a peppermint schnaps but without the syrupy feel and lingering taste. I actually really like it but think it is more for shooting a couple at the start of an evening. You aren't gonna want to sip on it...lol I think it would be good to carry in a flask for a nip on a cold day though.
