"Hello,

I'm looking at buying the PSII HC and using with a keg. It looks like in addition to the column I need a 3"" to 2"" adapter, a 2"" oring and a 2"" tri clamp? Is this correct or did I miss something? I alrady have packing, water pump, hoses etc?

Thanks, Duane"

Thanks LWTCS,

So is that a yes, those are the extra parts I need? I've been doing this for about a year with a homemade reflux unit that works but is slow. I have the ferment part for my sugar washes down pat. I've used both electric and propane but prefer propane as it's much faster on startup.

"I don't know much about the PSII HC other than the purty pictures.

But it seems like you should be good to go. Does that unit come with a thermometer?"

It comes with a glass thermometer, the digital is an option."

I think if you buy the Brewhaus keg kit it comes with the 3 to 2 adapter and clamps."

Yes, the Keg Kit comes with the adapter, clamps, etc., needed to attach the column to a keg.

"Thanks for the replies. Question on the packing. If using the copper mesh for packing, is one package of the Brewhaus packing enough or is 2 required for the HC system?

Thanks, Duane"

Thanks but I'm not buying the HC keg kit if thats what you're referring too? So my question still is how much packing is needed? I already have 2 packages of copper mesh and am wondering if that is enough or do I need more?

Thanks, Duane"

Maybe you could tell me what column you are using and what way you are using it , I guessing the 3 inch HC column with the reflux extension, then you will need about 4 packs of copper mesh (Brewhaus ), if you use it in a pot still mode then you only need a couple of plugs, less than one packet of mesh.

Thanks Div4gold. Should have been more clear. 4 packs was what I was looking for as I'm planning on using the HC column in reflux mode.
