"Unfortunately, he is right. Many have tried taters, ONCE! Darn near impossible to get enough juice seperated from the pulp without a centrifuge or press.

Eat em."

I use them a lot. Good for grains and fruits. Mostly, I add a pack with the yeast to my UJSM no cook grains- wheat, oats, rye, millet and barley. I add it at the same time as the yeast. Converts a lot more of the grain starches, and pulls out more grain flavors. I find it very worthwhile."

The UJSM is an uncooked corn or other grain process, and is as quick and easy as any sugar wash. Makes a great white dog, or can be aged with oak. One of the most popular of all flavored spirits due to its ease and good taste.

Do a search for UJSM, UJSSM or Uncle Jessie simple sour mash. There's a photo how to essay."

"Uncle Remus's rice vodka may be a great option.

It is certainly on my short list."

Thanks. I remember reading that recipe, but had forgotten it. Do you have a handy link to it? Or where to search?

I do remember it sounded like a good one."
