It could be oils. If you cut some of your last jar does it get cloudy?

Was thanked: 15 time(s) in 15 post(s)
"What was your temp range, did it get hotter as you went through???
Of course it will get hotter --- but what I'm asking is was it boiling the piss out of it at the 3rd and 4th jar time slot??? Thats how you MAKE IT cause the flavor and color carryover. Even in the potstill mode if you cook really slowly it will come across neutral lots of times. Think about it and see what you come up with.
What I've seen before is over night it loses color and flavor and sometimes ABV as the alcohol evaporates. So you say it was clear when it was collected and then turned overnight??? Hmmmmmmm, got me thinking now."

I started it out real slow in the reflux mode, took a couple of hours to bring it upto about 200 degs.. You could feel the temp climbing the column slowly, then my top temp slowly rose to about 170 degs. and just hung there. I had 3 frozen gallon jugs in the condencer water so I know I was good there. I am using ozarka spring water in my mash, could it be in the water? I have had this problem once before but it was in the first catch, got some nasties in it. I am also running an inline parrot, don't know if that would cause anything. Cleaned everything out real good, just can't figure this one out. Haven't done anything different except converted to a reflux column.
