"Hello All. After several batches of Corn Whisky and Wheat Vodka I have been brain-storming some ideas on how to make getting off-grain a little easier. I built a homemade press and met with limited results. I found a big rectangular colander at the grocery store and this may be the answer so I thought I would post the info. This unit easily spreads over the Brewhaus fermenter and is perfect for separating fluid from grain.

I found it at the local Ralphs store here in So. Cal but you may have to go to their web site: www.goodcook.com

It's name is Expandable Colander and spreads out to 22 inches, Item #12486 and it goes for $15.59.

I am now looking for some stiff but maliable food grade piece of rubber to act as a press. I have no affiliation to this product or company and couldn't care less if you buy it. :) But everyone on the forum has been so kind and helpful that I thought I would return the favor in a small way. Separating grains has been a step I dread but it is worth the work in the end. Just trying to make it a little easier.

Enjoy!"
