I have bought a cheap still on Ebay and the thumper has an outlet on the bottom and top. How should this be set up?

Hi Heyg73,

I don't own a thumper, but I would say the bottom outlet would connect to the still and the top to the condenser. That is what I've seen out on the web and that would also seem to make sense to me given how a thumper works. It's the rising vapor that eventually escapes the thumper that goes to your condenser so you'd need that exit port at the top. Hope that helps.

That doesn't sound like a thumper that sounds like a worm pot. A thumper has the steam going in the top and coming out the top. But some thumpers do have a drain on the bottom because they will fill during distillation.
