Hey,

I am wondering if anyone is familiar with copper precipitate??? On my third distillation I added a 4 inch length of copper mesh to the column in order to add reactivity to remove sulfur compounds and it's accompanying fragrance. My still yielded a product containing a rosey hue.

A little bit of research lead me to believe that this is a copper precipitate. I also read that allowing the distillate to settle for a month allows the copper to fall to the bottom.

Does anyone know anything else about this??? has anyone had this issue?? Is copper precipitate harmful??? Is there a way to prevent this or remove this faster??

Cheers!
