Greetings all,
I am getting an off odour when I distill with herbs present in the mash, which I suspect is the herbs being scorched. I heat using a propane burner. Usually, I start with a volume of about 6 litres. Is that too small? Will distilling a larger batch prevent scorching of the herbs?

Like Anonymous said, get the herbs off the bottom, hang them in a pourous bag, net or whatever near the top/
