My boiler has 2 pinhole leaks at the soldered seam. No vapor, just liquid. Could I use the copper gasket maker from the auto store to seal this up, or can I solder the pinholes? Thanks for any information.

I was under the impression that the entire seam needed to be taken apart and re-soldered. I tried to solder it again and it looked like a mud dobber shit all over it. Couldn't get it to stick. Any tips how to add more solder to it?

"If you dont already have it fixed....this might help........

Make sure before you try to solder it again you sand as much of the spot as you can (really good) and dont forget to use a VERY good flux. Look on Youtube under --
Solder and flux, the one that you want is a liquid that you kinda paint on, I cant remember the name but it's there ( I saw it at Lowes one time too) anyway that might help with your sticking problem. And NO all flux is not the same!!!!!!!!!!!! They show a guy building a condenser for a still I believe and he soldered copper to stainless, but good luck with it and hope this helps you some."
