Hi guys, here are a couple of pics of the rigs that I have built. The three plater is the column that I run most of the time, it is using 3/32 holes at a 8% hole area and run really well. This column is modular so is very flexable, when doing neutrals I add a packed section above the top plate.
The other photo is of a four plate column that uses 1/16 holes and has 9% hole area, it also runs well but I prefer my three plater.
Both boilers are 27 gallon, one is natural gas fired and the other was built for a friend, his is electric with two elements.
Also wanted to add since these are all stainless rigs I always insert a couple wads of copper scrubbies under the first plate for sulfides..
