The finest woman I have ever known is from there.. (with me now, mind ya, but, she's a forever husker fan Wink )

Nebraska had the bestest beef and corn that I've ever enjoyed... Unlike the shoe leather they sell here in Texas as a ribeye....Thar was a spatterin' of farms west of Lincoln that were pay-n-pick corn farms. it was almost a yearly sojourn to make the rounds and get some of the sweetest bi-color corn, and other fine yaller varieties.

Yep, the beef is great! I get my sweet corn free from a farmer friend. I'm thinking about getting lots of extra sweet corn, letting it dry out and then crushing it for mash making. May not need to add lots of sugar to the mash that way.
