Been arpund for a month or so. I have two sugar washes almost ready to go,one is 6lbs sugar, 3.7 oz. tomato paste and 1.63oz yeast with a starting SG 1.072.Wash number 2 is 8.5lbs sugar, 2.6 oz yeast, starting SG 1.084. Both washes are 4 gallon. Wash number 1 is beginning to bubble a little slower, while wash 2 will slow to a one bubble every 25 seconds. I twist the bucket back and forth and can get a bubble about every 10 seconds. Wash 1 is 10 days in while wash 2 is 9 days old. Thought no. 2 was close to ready and checked the SG a while ago and it was 1.01. I have a 3 gallon capacity reflux still. I get some of my questions answered by researching this site and HD. I am a 61 year old construction worker getting ready to cut back my working to around 6 months a year. Enjoy all the input, seems to help me go in the right direction.
