"Hi.
Im building myself a spiral distiller (see movie) however I want to remove the first coil and replace it with a column. What size of column should I be using?

Heres the design Im speaking of with two spirals for aircooling.

yeah me too, what he said......I guess it would work just not sure of the design concept or functionality. Please dont get your feelings hurt we're just curious.

If one spiral is coming out of the boiler, I would bet that you're not going to get any output until you get the temp up to well over 200 degrees. Air cooling of the first spiral will condense the alcohol vapors and it will run back down into the boiler.

Just my two cents...
