I mostly, on fermenters and the cooker, just rinse it fill it with water and pour in some bleach. Let it set for a few days and rinse it again real good and then use it the next time I'm ready. Works easiest for me.

Hey try this.... once you get the tap out add a gallon or two of water and still out the ethonal thats in the beer. Its the alcohol that were after anyway. You might be surprised what it tastes like -- I was.

Go to Wally World and buy their version of Oxyclean powder, It is called Sun something...make sure you don't buy scented....it is like $2

Put in 2 to 3 scoopfuls and fill keg with warm water...let it sit for at least 24 hours and then rinse out with warm water...

You know you have enough cleaner in the water when it feels slippery between your fingers...

Make sure you use warm to hot water to rinse to make sure you remove all the cleaner.

Again, ethanol is ethanol....connect your tower and still it just to see. I did this just to recover the hooch and then I added it to the next run. If it smells shitty then toss it out, if not well then rerun it. What can it really hurt???

Just my opinion...start with a 5 gallon wash/mash. Thats a pretty long day right there so start small so you can push through all the steps in a relativley timley fashion.
